Wisconsin Grapes
for
Wisconsin Wines

Located within the Ice Age Trail area of northeastern Rock County Wisconsin, which was covered by early continental glaciations between 25,000 and 2,500,000 years ago, the unique soil of Wild Wings Vineyard infuses our grapes, and the wines they become, with unique flavor and richness.

We planted our first vines Spring 2009 and anticipate a limited first harvest Fall 2011.  Varieties chosen are:  Baco Noir ~ fruit is high in acid and produces red wines of good quality that are deeply pigmented.  Marechal Foch ~ black grape that produces a fruity, light red wine.  Leon Millot ~ black grape with a distinct berry aroma.

The 5 acre vineyard is part of our 17 acre homestead north of Milton, Wisconsin.  We look forward to nuturing our vines and cultivating relationships with Wisconsin wineries striving to create distinctive offerings, infused with the spirit of Wild Wings grapes.
